For a while, I was really inspired by the TV series Deadwood. I loved the lighting and the characters and the costumes and the backdrops. This was one of my earliest paintings, done in acrylic. Shortly after this I started using oils and never looked back (the blending on the acrylics was a nightmare – so much easier in oils).
